I share these guided meditations with you as tools of resistance. Modern western culture teaches us that prioritising our own rest is an obstacle to us enjoying our own lives, when it is, in fact, the key to it. For this reason rest becomes radical and political, especially for those living in marginalised bodies and communities. As Audrey Lorde said in her seminal book of essays Burst of Light ‘Caring for myself is not self-indulgence. It is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare’.

I have created these guided meditations so you can slow down and nurture yourself with out having to spend any money. The Yoga Nidra will deeply rest and reset your nervous system, the Body Love Meditation will support you in healing body shame, and the Gratitude Meditation will connect you to the blessings that surround you so you can see how loved and held you are.
